NHS Dental Changes 'Force Patients to go Private'
|According to a national survey conducted between July and September of this year, more patients are forced to pay privately to receive dental treatment.
This is either because their dentist has left the NHS system, or because they cannot find a local NHS dentist.
More people have stopped visiting a dentist and have even tried to fix their own teeth the survey revealed.
More than half the dentists said the quality of care received by patients is worse since the new contract came into force April last year.
